IMPORTANT INFO FOR SUBSCRIBERS

I used to have a subscription in 2014, how do I re-activate it?

For those of you who had a subscription with us prior to December 2014 (currently on hold), these have been cancelled and you will have to complete the sign up process again*. This applies to both fortnightly and monthly subscribers and so we’d like to apologise in advance for this inconvenience. Due to our new site and products, this is necessary and we very much value your patience and understanding and hope that you wish to continue to subscribe with us.

Please note, the Barrecore Box will be available from February onwards whilst we work on our new menu.

*When signing up again, please do ensure that all delivery address details are correct. Only you are able to access and update your account details and so please do double check that your delivery address is correct.

What is Primal Snack Box?

Primal Snack Box is the UK’s first paleo snack subscription service. We offer snack box boxes catering to those who follow a paleo or primal diet. You will find absolutely no gluten, grains, dairy or refined sugar in any of the snacks that we choose. Each box is carefully curated to ensure that you receive a balanced selection of nutritious and clean paleo snacks every month.

HOW IT WORKS

What can I expect in the box?

Every box will contain a variety of at 7 – 10 paleo and primal friendly snacks and food items. You will receive an exciting combination of dried meat snacks (The Savannah only), energy bars, raw snacks, paleo chocolate treats, nut and seed mixes, dried fruit and much more!

Do I choose what's in the box?

We aim to source the newest and most exciting paleo snack products available to offer a variety of products that changes with every box. We believe that not knowing what’s in the box is all part of the fun of discovering new primal products! Rest assured, we check the ingredients (and of course taste them!) making sure that they are 100% paleo friendly so you don’t have to. 

How often does the contents of the box change?

We offer a monthly subscription service, meaning that the contents of the box changes every month. If you sign up for a subscription, the contents will be a surprise and will be revealed on the first of the month. However, if you would like to ‘trial’ our service, we recommend that you purchase a ‘One-off Box’. That way you will be able to see the full menu in the box description page and so please ensure you have seen this before you place your order.

How do I place an order?

Placing an order is simple. Simply select either The Savannah or The Forest and choose whether you’d like to purchase a one-off box or subscribe with us to receive a box every month. Add this product to the cart, enter your delivery and payment details and hit ‘Place Order’.

Can I buy a Primal Snack Box as a gift?

Of course! If you know someone who would enjoy a Primal Snack Box, then why not give as a gift? Simply add the recipients name and address in the ‘Shipping’ section at the checkout.

Is the box good value for money?

The price of the box includes the postage costs and also reflects the high quality of the items inside. Most off-the-shelf supermarket snacks contain cheap, grain, filler ingredients. Primal Snack Box aims to offer high-quality and nutrient-rich products that are difficult to find all in one place. We often work with small producers, and so many of our items are handmade, which is something that we wish to support and reflect in the price of the box.

I have food allergies - are the boxes suitable for me?

Many of our products do contain nuts and so would not be suitable for those suffering from nut allergies. Please note that some products are manufactured in a facility that produces food containing gluten, dairy and soya and other allergens. DELIVERY

How much does it cost for delivery?

Absolutely nothing! The price of our boxes includes postage and packaging.

When will I receive my box?

All of our subscription boxes are sent out in the first week of the month (as close to the 1st as possible) via a Royal Mail untracked service. All subscriptions purchased throughout the month, will secure a box for the following month. For example, if you order a subscription in June, you will then receive the July box in the first week of July.

If you simply cannot wait that long, or you would like to know the contents of the box first, we recommend that you purchase one our One-off Boxes instead. All orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday will be dispatched the same day. All One-off Box orders placed after 1pm will be dispatched the following working day.

We usually estimate a delivery time of 2 – 3 working days from dispatch, but for more remote areas this could take slightly longer.

Our weekly order cut-off time for subscriptions is the last day of the month, as indicated by our countdown timer. We do recommend that to secure your box, you place your subscription order before the final day.

Does the box fit through a letterbox?

Our boxes currently do not fit through letter boxes. In order to fit all of the snacks that we wanted to include, we had to make the boxes a bit bigger. If it is likely that you are not in to receive your box please specify in the ‘order notes’ section of the checkout page, a safe place to leave it.

Does the box require a signature?

You do not need to be in or sign for the box. If it is likely that you are not in to receive your box please specify in the ‘order notes’ section of the checkout page, a safe place to leave it. If no safe place is specified then Royal Mail will not leave the box and will therefore have to be collected or arranged to be re-delivered.

What happens if I have not received my box?

If you have not received your box after a week since your dispatch date, please do let us know! We hate to think that you will be without your snacks and so we will try to get this sorted for you as soon as possible. Please e-mail us at: info@primalsnackbox.co.uk 

Do you deliver outside of the UK or to BFPO addresses?

Unfortunately, we currently do not deliver internationally or to BFPO addresses, however this may change in the future.

Is there tracking info for the box?

As the postage costs are included in the box price, this means that the item is sent using an un-tracked service. Offering a tracked delivery service would unfortunately add a considerable amount to the postage costs, which we felt would be cost prohibitive for our customers.

MY ACCOUNT

Where can I see my subscriptions and orders?

To check your subscriptions and orders simply go to ‘My Account’. Here you will see your subscriptions and orders. You will be able to cancel, suspend and change delivery address.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Cancelling your subscription is easy and can be done at anytime. Just log in to ‘My Account’ and click cancel. You can always suspend your subscription if you are going away or just think you might want to renew it in the future.

How can I change from The Savannah to The Forest?

If you would like to change from The Savannah to The Forest or vice versa all you have to do is go to ‘My Account’ cancel your current subscription and then sign up to the new box that you would like and proceed through the checkout stage as normal. Please note: You need to cancel your subscription to change to another box but you can use the ‘switch subscription’ button to change how often you receive your box for example to change from monthly to fortnightly.

How can I change my delivery address?

If you need to change your delivery address then all you have to do is log in to ‘My Account’ and click ‘Address Book’ in the left hand menu. Here you will be able to edit your billing and delivery address.

PAYMENT

When do I get billed for my box?

You will be charged for your first box once you have placed an order. If you have chosen a monthly subscription, you will then be charged for subsequent boxes exactly a month later. For example, if you buy a monthly subscription on 10th of June then your next payment will be taken on the 10th of July. For a One-off Box, you will be charged once you have placed your order.

Please note, for subscriptions your renewal payment will secure your box for the following month. Payment has to be taken first to ensure that you have been allocated a box for the first week of the month dispatch.

How can I change my credit/debit card information?

In ‘My Account’ you will see your subscriptions. Click the button ‘Change payment method’ and enter your new payment details.

Is your website secure?

Shopping on Primal Snack Box is safe and secure. We use Stripe to process all payments. All you need to do is enter your credit/debit card details and then press ‘Place Order’. All card details are stored securely on Stripe’s servers. We do not hold any card information. Our checkout page is secured with an SSL certificate provided by GeoTrust. GeoTrust are one of the largest and most trusted providers of digital certificates. GeoTrust’s SSL certificates enable up to 256-bit SSL encryption meaning that you can be sure your personal details are safe.

THE PALEO DIET

What is the paleo diet?

The paleo or primal diet, also known as the ‘caveman diet’ follows the eating patterns of our Paleolithic ancestors. With a diet consisting mainly of wild meat and foraged plants, our hunter-gatherer ancestors were lean and free from many of the degenerative diseases that are commonplace today.

The paleo diet incorporates a variety of foods including pasture raised meat, wild seafood, vegetables, eggs, nuts and seeds, fats and limited amounts of fruit.

The paleo diet does not include grains, dairy, legumes, vegetable oils or refined sugar and avoids highly processed foods. It’s not so much a ‘diet’, but a lifestyle choice. Put simply, you just enjoy the nutrient-rich food that you were genetically designed to eat.

If I dont follow the paleo diet, is it right for me?

Of course! You dont have to follow the paleo diet to enjoy these healthy and great tasting snacks. All of our snacks are gluten free and can be enjoyed by any health-conscious individual. The Forest Box does not contain any meat products and is completely suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
